Nov. 14 - 2016

Pond Hockey is a recreational program for kids (boys and girls) ages 9 to 14 who are new to hockey, as well as those who have previous experience.  The focus of the program is to provide exposure to hockey for those players not already registered on a league team.  We work with kids to help them improve basic skills, but most of all, we want players to simply enjoy their time playing against each other.  Space in the program is limited and does require players to be registered with the OMHA.  This is NOT a drop in program.

During games, players are divided up according to their age groups so that younger players play against each other and older players do likewise.  It is important to note that there is a variety of skill level in Shinny.  Some kids have played hockey before and others have never played.  For this reason, contact play is avoided.
