COACH EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Please review the attached schedule HCR - Hockey Canada Registry to determine the coach education requirements for each division.  In particular, please note:

Coaches will need to set up a new account with the HCR 3.0 this portal is replacing the old coaches site.

ALL COACHES U7-U18 

Shift Forward Coach  course number 2026000219  (not the same course as Shift Forward Parent) : Clinic Registration | HOCKEY ALBERTA

U7-U9 - 2 Coaches per team are required to have Coach 1 online and in person.

Coach 1 Part 1 online, course number 2026000423. Part 1 must be completed before Part 2

Coach 1 Part 2 in person at VRC November 2nd  course number 2026001811 

U11-U18 all Head Coaches male and female are required to have Coach 2 online and in person

Coach 2 Part 1 online, course number 2026000424. Part 1 must be completed before Part 2

Coach 2 Part 2 in person at VRC October 5, course number 2026001807

U11-U18 all Head Coaches male and female are required to have checking online and in person

Checking Part 1 online, course number 2026000425. Part 1 must be completed before Part 2

Checking Part 2 in person at VRC October 26, course number 2026001809

U7-U9 two coaches on each team are required to have the online Safety course

U11-U18 one coach on each team is required to have the online safety course.

ALL Coaches and Managers are required to submit a police check that is 3 years old or newer.
