Registration

If you are registering your player for hockey this season and they have NEVER registered in a Hockey Canada Sanctioned program before please follow the below instructions.

STEPS 1,2 and 3 MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO REGISTERING WITH OMHA

1. Create Spordle Account (see below instructions)
2. Create HCR Profile (see below instructions)
3. Complete Respect in Sport Certification and provide HCR number to Respect Group during that process to ensure the completed certification is showing in HCR (Remember the requirement is that RIS Certification is SHOWING in HCR)
4. Register with MHA

Any families or participants who have previously registered with a Hockey Canada sanctioned program and are looking for their HCR number can log in to their Spordle Account (create one if necessary, using attached instructions) to log in to their profile and obtain their number.

If you have taken the Respect in Sport Parent course for another child please log into your Respect in Sport Parent Account and under the child management section please add your new player.

Please note that the RIS Parent Course is NOT the same as the RIS Activity leader course.

If you have taken the RIS Parent course for another sport please contact the RIS Help desk after you have created your players account. 

1-866-956-9791 to ask them to add your RIS number to your players profile.

STEP 4

Register with OMHA once registration opens on June 23rd.

STEP 5

Hockey Alberta requires that minor hockey associations verify players birth dates and primary residence address.

Please email admin@okotokshockey.com a copy of your players birth certificate along with 3 proof of residence documents. 

Examples of residency documents are:

Driver’s License for Father

Driver’s License for Mother

School registration at a school in or near the residence for the current year

Proof of mail delivery by Canada Post at residence (Box numbers are not acceptable)

Telephone bill for land line service at residence

Cable or Internet bill for service at residence

Utility bill for service at residence

Lease agreement for residence in parent(s) name(s)

Current property tax notice in parent(s) name(s)

Homeowner/Renter’s insurance policy for residence

Void cheque with residence address

Vehicle registration with residence address.

Any other documentation which supports your claim to residency at the address

Registration for the 2025-2026 hockey season and the OMHA development Camps will open on June 23rd and close on July 20th 2025

U11AA Tryouts will be separate from the OMHA U11 travel tryouts.

Okotoks players and players that do not have a U11AA team in their home association are able to register for U11 Mixed AND U11AA tryouts. The cost of the tryouts is $150.00

Current associations with a U11AA team are

 Okotoks players MUST BE REGISTERED WITH OMHA prior to registering for tryouts and camps with OOAA. Players from outside of Okotoks please register with your home association and then with OOAA for conditioning camps and tryouts.

All registrations received after July 20th will be subject to a $100.00 late fee and the player will be put on a waiting list. Wait listed players will be notified in late August if there is room for them in the division that they are registered in.

Each player must have a valid Respect in sport parent course attached to their Hockey Canada profile. The course is valid for 4 years. To retake the course or add a new player to your existing account please visit: https://hockeyalbertaparent.respectgroupinc.com/

Note: Players must have been born in 2019 or 2020 to register for U7  for the 2025/2026 season.  No exceptions will be made.  For all divisions, parents registered their player in the division that corresponded with their birth year, regardless of their skill level.  Practice days/times are not determined until teams have been made following evaluations (October). Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any requests for specific days of the week nor times.

Registration Fees 2025-2026 PRIOR TO JULY 20th 

If you are interested in registering you player for U13AA, U15AA/AAA, U16AA, U17AAA or U18 AA/AAA  you must first register in with OMHA and then you can register for the AA/AAA tryouts with OOAA. www.ooaaoilerhockey.ca 

 ** OOAA AA/AAA TEAMS (U13,U15,U16,U17,U18) are governed by the Okotoks Oilers Athletic Association (OOAA).  

Registration for the OMHA development camps will open on June 23rd
