Health and Safety
The Health and Safety director was a new position brought in by OMHA in 2018 to help achieve the highest level of safety for our children while playing a sport they love. The safety page will be a link for health and safety resources and forms.
OMHA is also excited to be undertaking some new safety initiatives this upcoming season. Once those initiatives are approved and ready to begin they will be added to this page. Stay tuned!
Please check back regularly for updates and new links.

Hands on Safety Course:
This is a two hour hands on first aid course to be taken by an assistant coach for all OMHA teams. New this year, there are two different options for registration, there is a Level 1 course which is intended for all assistant coaches that did not attend last year's session; and then there is our Level 2 course which is for all assistant coaches that completed last year's session.

HeadCheck Health:
For more information for Bantam/Midget level coaches, safety coaches, managers and parents on our new concussion management system, here is the link to HeadCheck Health. This new initiative that OMHA is trialing this year will improve the overall concussion care that our athletes will receive. It will allow our association to monitor concussions at a high level and ensure our standards are being met. This is another step forward in achieving our vision statement of "being a leader in fostering an environment where anyone can enjoy the game of hockey in a SAFE, fun and sportsmanlike environment.
